BC Timber Sales
OFP also sources timber from British Columbia Timber Sales (BCTS), a forest manager empowered by the Province of British Columbia. BCTS sells timber cutting rights to small business operators in the province of B.C. through a competitive auction process (bidding), ensuring maximum revenue to the province as well as supplying timber to companies that require round log input for their production facilities.

This involvement from a government body or representative (such as BCTS) ensures that harvesting, reforestation, road building and Silva culture are performed to the environmental standards set out in the B.C. Forest Act and by the Province of B.C., which has some of the most stringent forest management practices in the world, designed to create and maintain abundant forests for future generations.
