Log Home Components |
|
After custom cutting logs into cants at our sawmill, the cants are
then air or kiln dried to predetermined moisture content (15% or less)
depending on what the customer wants and where the structure is going to
be built. (At this stage we have finalized the drawings and have the IFC
(issued for construction) plans finalized, the home design and
engineering is complete.)
We then blank profile the logs into log home logs, then we start to
manufacture your log structure with our custom-built log processor.
This milling unit is a one of a kind machine hand built by our in-house
millwright.
Another extra step we take is to lay out the walls after machining,
ensuring the corner notches and wiring/ready rod chases are in place
and that they line up perfectly as well as any window or door openings.

Log Siding |
|
Our log siding is our own unique profile. Developed in-house, the main
feature is stress relief on the back side to prevent or limit checking
on the exposed face. This product can be supplied air dried or kiln
dried, in random lengths or specific length packages, and you also have
a choice of shiplap edge or T & G (the T & G eliminates face nailing).
This siding can be used to side a conventional stick built building
giving the structure the log look, but the product is most commonly
used for the gable ends on our pre-manufactured log structures.
