Oyama Forest Products can supply and construct the log home of your dreams! While we have been marketing natural logs, machine-profiled logs, log siding and other products to the log home industry for years, we have recently expanded our line to include customized log home kits.

With an upgrade to our equipment and staff, we can now design and pre-manufacture machined-log structures and offer them to you as a “kit” --- but these are kits with a great deal of flexibility permitted for price sensitivities and optional “extras.” OFP offers economical base models as well as precut homes that can be dressed up with heavy timber trusses and exposed heavy timber beams, flooring, decking, paneling, etc, all to suit your personal needs. Remember, you will purchase each special “extra” directly from us, the manufacturer of your home, with no “middle men” involved.

We design and manufacture everything in-house, which means that you benefit from a unique “stump-to-consumer” control mechanism, including manufacturer-direct pricing and one-stop shopping, The result is an efficient just-in-time delivery of a log home with unrivalled fit and quality.

The genuine adaptability of our “kits” and subsequent ability to cater to personal preference truly sets OFP apart in the industry. As most other companies outsource most, if not all, of their products, they need to include a certain amount of standard products in their kits to show value. OFP manufactures and supplies most if not all of the included items direct from our mill, with no wholesalers or middlemen involved, adding tremendous value to the package in terms of quality and price.

Another added value from OFP is wood treating at the plant prior to shipping. Some of these include: Glycol/Borate wood preservative, a product that provides the ultimate protection against insects and wood rot, and will last the life of the home when properly applied; stains and finishes that can also be pre-applied at the factory; and if the log package is to be sent overseas, one coat of finish is mandatory prior to shipping in order to protect the product while in transit.

The Shell package includes supply, manufacture, precutting and boring of the log shell including partition walls if applicable. Also included are the foam seals and thru bolt connections and hardware, and of course a set of plans for assembly on site. See design section.

Our weather tight package includes the Shell package plus the material necessary to close in the home to weather-tight conditions including sealants. (The foundation and main floor or deck is in place by the general contractor or homeowner). Products included are: the Log Shell package, windows and exterior doors, gable sheathing and framing, gable siding, exterior decking (patio), (1st floor) floor joists, roof rafters or trusses, roof sheathing, all roofing materials and fasteners, (depending on roof system and roofing), exterior fascia, soffit paneling, interior door and window trim, interior paneling (if applicable), stair railings, posts, beams, as well as ridge beams and Purlins.
